Dallas Stars left wing Patrick Eaves is among the most coveted players of the trading season, as several teams are in hot pursuit of the veteran.
Eaves, 32, is making $1 million this season and is having a career-year, having already posted a career-high 21 goals on the season.
"No player has garnered more interest than Patrick Eaves," TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun said during Tuesday night's 'Insider Trading' segment on TSN.
The Los Angeles Kings, Ottawa Senators, Montreal Canadiens, Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks are just a handful of teams that have inquired about Eaves' availability.
Eaves' low salary cap hit will likely result in a higher return for the Stars, as Dallas GM Jim Nill is believed to be asking for a first-round draft pick as part of a deal for Eaves.
The Stars are also entertaining calls for winger Patrick Sharp and defenseman Johnny Oduya, both of whom are also set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.
