Stars have defenseman to trade

The Dallas Stars have been battling injuries to their blueline this season, but once they're fully healthy on the backend, the team could end up moving out a defenseman.

During Thursday night's "Insider Trading" segment on TSN, TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reported veteran Johnny Oduya could be the odd man out.

According to Lebrun, Oduya is "probably a guy they'd be willing to move," but noted something likely won't occur until later in the season.

Oduya, 35, is in the final year of his contract and can become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

He also owns a limited no-trade clause where he can list up to 12 teams he will not accept a trade to.

The Stars have also been shopping Jamie Oleksiak, who is also in the final year of his contract, but is set to become a restricted free agent next July.
