Stars show interest in Brunner

Having already rebuilt their center position, the Dallas Stars are focused on adding a scoring winger to the roster and have shown interest in Damien Brunner.

Brunner, 27, tallied 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points in 44 games with the Detroit Red Wings this past season, his first in the NHL.

The native of Zurich, Switzerland, has been highly coveted by several teams, including the Stars, but has yet to make up his mind.

It's believed Brunner is looking for a multi-year contract worth between $3 million and $3.5 million per season.

He joined the Wings after signing with them as a free agent on July 1, 2012. Prior to that, he spent five seasons in the Swiss League, where he averaged 22.75 goals per year in his last four seasons.
