Stars interested in center Bozak
The Dallas Stars are looking to upgrade their roster via free agency and trades, and are among the teams interested in unrestricted free agent center Tyler Bozak.
Bozak, 27, wrapped up a two-year, $3 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Leafs are also talking to Bozak, trying to re-sign him, while the native of Regina, Saskatchewan, has also attracted the interest of the St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Anaheim Ducks and Florida Panthers.
Bozak is believed to be looking for a long-term contract, between five and eight years, worth at least $5 million per season.
In 46 games with the Leafs this past season, Bozak registered 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points.
Bozak has been the Leafs' top-line center for the last two seasons. His best year came in 2011-12 when he collected 18 goals and 29 assists for 47 points in 73 games.
The Stars are looking to add a centerman to their roster, along with a top-six winger and a top-four defenseman.
