Stars sale report inaccurate

The Dallas Morning News refuted a report claiming Calgary oil man Bill Gallacher has agreed to buy the Stars.

The Hockey News reported Gallacher has agreed to buy the Stars for $225 million, but the Morning News claims the story is not accurate.

Gallacher has expressed interest in purchasing the Stars and the paper suggests the sale process is ongoing. However, citing two NHL sources, the paper also indicates the Stars current ownership group has not yet put a price tag on the team.

Dallas Mavericks (NBA) owner Mark Cuban also confirmed to the Morning News that he is not interested in buying the team, telling the paper, "not me, no idea who."
