The Dallas Stars have signed unrestricted free agent defenseman Karlis Skrastins to a two-year, $2.75 million contract.
Skrastins, 34, played in 80 with the Florida Panthers last season, registering four goals and 14 assists for 18 points.
In 679 career NHL games with the Nashville Predators, Colorado Avalanche and Panthers, Skrastins has accumulated 27 goals and 88 assists for 115 points, to go along with 313 penalty minutes.
He was originally drafted by the Predators in the ninth-round (230th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
