Stars talking to Avery

Stars co-GM Brett Hull told the Dallas Morning News his team has been involved in discussions late into yesterday evening with free agent Sean Avery.

The Stars are among a number of teams interested in signing Avery, who scored 15 goals and added 18 assists last season.

Various reports suggest he's looking for a multi-year contract worth around $4 million per season.

Avery's representative, Mark Guy, told TFP on Monday that the Rangers, Avery's former team, are still an option.
