The Colorado Avalanche remains very active on the trade front with the trade deadline 17 days away.
Avalanche GM Joe Sakic has held several discussions with his counterparts about a number of his players, including Matt Duchene, Gabriel Landeskog, Jarome Iginla, Fedor Tyutin and John Mitchell, among others.
Sakic, Avs Assistant GM Chris MacFarland and a team scout are expected to take in the Boston Bruins' home game this evening against the Montreal Canadiens, adding fuel to the fire that trade talks with both clubs are picking up.
The Canadiens have expressed significant interest in Duchene, while the Bruins have tried to acquire Landeskog.
It's believed trade negotiations are indeed picked up for the Avs. Sakic is demanding high returns for Duchene and Landeskog, while he will try to maximize deals for his pending unrestricted free agents.
Iginla, Tyutin, Mitchell and Rene Bourque are all scheduled to become UFAs this summer.
