Stastny to play in Germany

Another NHL player has left for Europe.

Colorado Avalanche forward Paul Stastny has signed with Munich EHC of the German league, USA Today's Kevin Allen has reported.

Stastny, 26, is joining Winnipeg Jets forward Blake Wheeler in Munich. He is expected to suit up for the club on Friday.

In 79 games with the Avs last season, Stastny posted 21 goals and 32 assists for 53 points.
