Landeskog chooses home
TheFourthPeriod.com

Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog is heading back home after agreeing to a two-month contract with Djurgarden of the HockeyAllsvenskan League.

According to TSN Insider Pierre LeBrun, Landeskog's agent Peter Wallen says Landeskog has agreed to a shorter two-month deal, with the agreement that he could head back to Colorado at any time if and when the NHL lockout ended.

Djurgarden has also confirmed the agreement to the Swedish media.

However, LeBrun believes last season's Calder Trophy winner as NHL rookie of the year will extend his contract with Djurgarden if the lockout drags on longer than two months.

Landeskog, 19, had received multiple offers from several clubs overseas since the start of the lockout two weeks ago.

In 82 games with the Avs last season, Landeskog collected 22 goals and 30 assists for 52 points
