Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will be signing with a team in Europe this week, according to TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta.
Landeskog, 19, has received multiple offers from several clubs overseas and is expected to make his decision shortly.
A significant chunk of NHL players have signed overseas during the NHL lockout, including stars like Joe Thornton, Rick Nash, Tyler Seguin, Alex Ovechkin, Ilya Kovalchuk, Pavel Datsyuk and most recently Zdeno Chara, who signed in the KHL today.
The native of Stockholm, Sweden, registered 22 goals and 30 assists for 52 points, along with a plus-20 rating, in 82 games with the Avs last season.
It's possible Landeskog signs in Sweden, though that won't be revealed until he makes his decision.
