Landeskog, 19, become the youngest captain in NHL history when he was given the 'C' on Sept. 4.
The native of Stockholm, Sweden, registered 22 goals and 30 assists for 52 points, along with a plus-20 rating, in 82 games with the Avs last season.
His excellent performance resulted in being named the NHL's Rookie of the Year.
