While the Colorado Avalanche has been hard at work trying to re-sign all of their free agents, the Denver Post reports restricted free agent forward Ryan O'Reilly remains a priority for the team.
According to Post beat reporter Adrian Dater, Avs management and O'Reilly's camp are expected to resume contract negotiations in a week or two.
Avalanche GM Greg Sherman needs to figure out what he is willing to pay for the 21-year-old, who exploded with 18 goals and 37 assists for 55 points in 81 games last season.
O'Reilly, 32, is coming off his three-year, entry-level contract.
