Wilson re-signs for three-years TheFourthPeriod.com
The Colorado Avalanche has re-signed defenseman Ryan Wilson to a three-year, $6.75 million contract.
"Ryan brings an element that compliments our defense," said Avalanche GM Greg Sherman. "We are pleased to sign him to a multi-year deal and look forward to seeing him at camp."
Wilson, 25, appeared in 59 games for the Avalanche this past season, registering one goal and 20 assists for 21 points. He led all team defensemen and ranked second overall on the Avalanche in plus/minus.
The Windsor, Ontario native has played in 187 career NHL games and has accumulated seven goals and 51 assists for 58 points, along with 137 penalty minutes.
The Avalanche also announced the signings of forwards Patrick Bordeleau and David Van Der Gulik each to one-year contracts.
