Hawks looking for top line winger

The Chicago Blackhawks have been searching for a top line winger to play alongside captain Jonathan Toews, according to multiple published reports.

The Blackhawks do not have a significant amount of salary cap space to work with, but with Marcus Kruger on injury reserve, Chicago could gain some extra space.

Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman has been exploring his options, with Colorado Avalanche right wing Jarome Iginla reportedly of interest, but the two teams would have to be creative given how Iginla's salary cap hit is $5.333 million.

It's unclear who else the Hawks are evaluating, though right wing Radim Vrbata of the Arizona Coyotes, who comes with only a $1 million cap hit, is believed to be another target.
