Hawks looking for depth

The Chicago Blackhawks are believed to be in the market for some depth at both ends of the rink and they attempt to strengthen their position in the Western Conference.

The Blackhawks currently sit first in the West, but their overall defensive game has been in question.

According to the Ottawa Sun, Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman will be doing some shopping during the General Manager meetings in Pebble Beach.

The Sun claims the Hawks are in the market for a depth center and a defenseman.

Bowman has already been quietly shopping around, but talks could intensify this week.
