Bickell signs 4-year deal with Chicago

The Chicago Blackhawks have re-signed forward Bryan Bickell to a four-year contract extension worth $16 million.

Bickell, 27, was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent July 5.

Bickell is coming off a three-year, $1.625 million contract.

In all 48 games with the Blackhawks this past season, Bickell registered nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points, along with nine goals and eight assists for 17 points in 23 playoff games, putting him second behind Patrick Kane in team playoff scoring.
