The Hawks have show interest in the likes of Columbus Blue Jackets center Derick Brassard, but it's unlikely he'll be moved.
Bowman could target Washington center Mike Ribeiro, who leads the Capitals in scoring with 19 assists and 28 points.
Ribeiro, 33, is in the final year of his current contract and can become an unrestricted free agent this July.
The Blackhawks could also pick up a depth defenseman by the deadline, to sub into the club's third pairing during the final month of the season.
