Stalberg goes to KHL

Chicago Blackhawks left wing Viktor Stalberg has signed with Atlant of the KHL after leaving Frolunda of Sweden's second-tier league.

Stalberg joins Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin and Boston Bruins goalie Anton Khudobin on Atlant, who have hit their NHL lockout player max.

KHL clubs are only allowed to sign a maximum of three NHL players during the NHL lockout.

The 26-year-old registered 22 goals and 21 assists for 43 points in 79 games with the Blackhawks last season.

In 196 career NHL regular-season games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Hawks, Stalberg has accumulated 43 goals and 38 assists for 81 points, along with 107 penalty minutes.
