Kane could play in Switzerland

Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane could be among the flurry of players lacing up their skates overseas until the NHL lockout comes to an end.

Kane is in talks with HC Bienne (EHC Biel, in German), the same club that signed Boston Bruins center Tyler Seguin last month.

The 23-year-old has been exploring various options overseas, but has yet to make a commitment.

Right wing Bryan Bickell, left wing Viktor Stalberg, defenseman Michal Roszival and right wing Michael Frolik are the only four members of the Blackhawks to have signed overseas during the lockout.

Kane has received interest from the KHL and clubs in Sweden, though it's believed he'd likely end up playing in Switzerland, if a deal becomes available.

Several star NHLers have signed in the Swiss National A League, including the likes of Logan Couture, Joe Thornton, Rick Nash, John Tavares and Jason Spezza.
