Stop the Kane trade rumors
TheFourthPeriod.com

Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane is finding his name in trade rumors as the deadline approaches, but the star player is on the verge of being dealt, according to the CSN Chicago.

The Hawks, who have lost nine of their last 10 contests, are still looking to make minor deals, but aren't aggressively shopping the man who scored the Stanley Cup winning goal in 2010.

The 23-year-old remains a face of the franchise and cornerstone for the club's future though he has been experiencing one of the toughest seasons of his young career.

In 58 games this season, Kane has recorded 12 goals and 34 assists for 46 points, and his downgrade from the past seasons had one rumor sending him to his hometown of Buffalo in exchange for Sabres netminder Ryan Miller.

Although the Blackhawks would prefer to think more as buyers than sellers for the upcoming deadline, they currently sit in sixth place of the Western Conference amongst several other teams who feel they are still in the playoff race.

However, a blockbuster trade is unlikely throughout the league at this year’s deadline, especially one that would involve Kane.
