The Chicago Blackhawks are looking to add some additional physicality to their lineup, both up front and on the blueline.
According to Daily Herald beat reporter Tim Sassone, who posted the news on his Twitter account, the Hawks are interested in Edmonton Oilers defenseman Andy Sutton.
Sutton, 36, has a $2.125 million salary cap hit, but is in the final year of his current contract and can become an unrestricted free agent July 1.
The Oilers are believed to be actively shopping Sutton, as he's expected to be dealt before to the Feb. 27 trade deadline.
Sassone also reports the Blackhawks have spoken with the Dallas Stars about former Hawk Adam Burish.
Burish, 29, is also set to become a UFA this summer, though his cap hit is lower, at $1.15 million.
