As TFP reported earlier, the Chicago Blackhawks locked up their last remaining key restricted free agent, signing restricted free agent forward Kris Versteeg to a three-year contract.

Versteeg, 23, was a finalist for the Calder Trophy this past season after registering 22 goals and 31 assists for 53 points in 78 games with the Blackhawks.

The native of Lethbridge, Alberta, made $495,000 in 2008-09 and will now earn $9.25 million over his new deal.

On Monday, the Blackhawks signed RFA defenseman Cam Barker to a three-year, $9.25 million deal.
