Blackhawks eyeing Guerin?

TheFourthPeriod.com

According to the Ottawa Sun, the Chicago Blackhawks are believed to be interested in New York Islanders forward Bill Guerin.

Guerin, Doug Weight and Mike Comrie are all believed to be available for trade.

The Blackhawks have been looking for an offensive-minded top-six forward, but have been primarily focused on bringing in a second-line center.

The Sun also claims the Pittsburgh Penguins might have an interested in right wing Martin Havlat to play alongside Sidney Crosby.

From the Editor: I'm not too sure if Guerin fits, but it's an option. The Blackhawks will still need to shed some salary before making any type of significant addition, but GM Dale Tallon will make a move in the next month or two to help solidify the team's chances in the playoffs. -- David Pagnotta
