Blackhawks looking to trade

TheFourthPeriod.com

According to the Chicago Tribune, Blackhawks GM Dale Tallon plans on using the days leading to free agency to talk trades with other teams.

"We had some conversations with a few teams that want to make some moves before [July 1] so they know where they're at as far as budget and what they have to sell," Tallon told the Tribune. "We'll go back to talk to some teams about possible deals before July 1 and then get ready for free agency."

The Blackhawks are believed to be looking for a top-six forward, a two-way forward and an offensive minded defenseman.

Sources tell TFP the Blackhawks are not expected to re-sign impending free agents Jason Williams and Yanic Perreault.
