Jagr officially signs with Flames

The Calgary Flames have officially announced they have signed forward Jaromir Jagr to a one-year contract.

Jagr, a native of Kladno, Czech Republic, is entering his 25th NHL season. He will earn a base salary of $1 million and can earn an additional $1 million in performance bonuses.

He is currently the leading point scorer among active NHL players and has the second most points in NHL history with 765 goals and 1149 assists for 1914 regular season points behind only Wayne Gretzky.

Jagr has won two Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins (1991, 1992) in addition to an Olympic gold medal (1998) and two World Championships (2005, 2010).

Jagr has won five Art Ross trophies (1995, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001), three Lester B. Pearson Awards (1999, 2000, 2006), the Bill Masterton Award (2016) and the Hart Trophy (1999). The thirteen time All-Star is also amongst the all-time leaders in NHL playoffs points (5th), goals (11th), assists (9th), overtime goals (T-3rd), game-winning goals (8th) and games played (T-15th).
