Flames, Colborne agree to 2-year deal

The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed restricted free agent center Joe Colborne to a two-year, $2.55 million contract.

Colborne, a native of Calgary, set personal highs in scoring 10 goals and adding 18 assists for 28 points in 80 games with Calgary last season.

He was originally drafted in the first round (16th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins before moving on to Toronto and being acquired in September by Calgary from the Leafs.
