Cammalleri debating future with Flames
TheFourthPeriod.com

Calgary forward Mike Cammalleri has a decision to make before the trade deadline; he needs to decide whether or not he wants to sign an extension with the Flames.

Cammalleri is in the final year of his contract and can become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

According to the Ottawa Sun, the Flames have already spoken with Cammalleri about staying in Calgary.

As TFP reported during the off-season, Cammalleri informed the Flames he would welcome a trade if the team wanted to move him, as part of their rebuild.

Cammalleri, 31, has a limited no-trade clause and can list up to seven teams he will not accept a deal to.

Multiple league sources have told TFP they expect the Flames to trade Cammalleri before the March 5 trade deadline, though the price tag will be high.

On Jan. 20, the Flames signed center Matt Stajan to a four-year, $14.5 million contract extension.
