Hudler heading back to KHL
TheFourthPeriod.com

Calgary Flames right wing Jiri Hudler will be returning to the KHL this season and suiting up for HC Lev Praha in Prague, Czech Republic.

TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta first reported the news earlier this afternoon via his Twitter account.

Hudler, 28, signed a four-year, $16 million contract with the Flames on July 2 after spending the 2011-12 campaign with the Detroit Red Wings, the only NHL team he's suited up for.

The native of Olomouc, Czech Republic, scored a career-high 25 goals and added 25 assists for 50 points and 42 penalty minutes in 81 games with the Red Wings last season.

He has played 409 career games, all with the Red Wings, and has accumulated 87 goals, 127 assists for 214 points and 160 penalty minutes. Hudler won a Stanley Cup as a member of the Wings in 2008.

Hudler spent the 2009-10 season with HC Dynamo Moscow of the KHL, where he picked up 19 goals and 35 assists for 54 points in 54 games.
