Jokinen to remain a Flame this season

According to the Calgary Sun, forward Olli Jokinen will finish the season with the Flames.

The 33-year-old, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, has not been asked to waive his no-trade clause and will remain in Calgary beyond Monday's trade deadline.

Jokinen has previously expressed the desire to remain in Calgary and his hopes to sign a contract extension during the post-season.

Although Flames GM Jay Feaster has told media he wants to re-sign the forward and does not expect to have trouble getting it done, both parties have yet to discuss his future with the club.

In 62 games with the Flames this season, Jokinen has collected 19 goals and 31 assists for 50 points.
