The Calgary Flames have acquired defenseman Aaron Johnson from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for left wing Kyle Greentree.

Johnson, a native of Nova Scotia, has 184 games of NHL experience between Columbus, NY Islanders and Chicago. In 38 games with the Blackhawks last season, Johnson recorded eight points and 33 penalty minutes.

Greentree, 25, appeared in two games with the Flames last season, spending the majority of the campaign with the AHL's Quad City Flames.
