The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired forward Blake Comeau from the Calgary Flames in exchange for a fifth-round pick at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Comeau, 27, has appeared in 33 games with Calgary this season, recording four goals, three assists and 14 penalty minutes.

"We are excited to add Blake Comeau to our hockey club and believe he will fit in perfectly with our style of play," said Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen. "He is a physical, hard-hitting forward who has also shown the ability to score goals."

In 352 career NHL games with the Flames and New York Islanders, Comeau has accumulated 65 goals and 78 assists for 143 points.

He was originally drafted by the Islanders in the second-round (47th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
