Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin is expected to play with Oblast Atlanta of the KHL, joining former Jackets Nikolai Zherdev and Maksim Mayorov and 2003 team draft pick Dmitry Kosmachev.
"Fedor Tyutin will join our team in the nearest future," acting coach Alexander Smirnov told Russian media outlet RiaNovosti on Saturday.
Tyutin, 29, would become the fifth Blue Jackets player to join another team during the NHL lockout, as goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, Nikita Nikitin, Artem Anisimov and Brandon Dubinsky have all agreed to terms with other clubs during the work stoppage.
In 66 games with the Jackets last season, Tyutin recorded five goals and 21 assists for 26 points.
