Dubinsky on professional tryout deal TheFourthPeriod.com
Columbus Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky has agreed to a professional tryout agreement with the ECHL's Alaska Aces to join the team for training camp.
Dubinsky, 26, had spent his entire NHL career with the New York Rangers until he was traded to Columbus as part of a package in the trade for captain Rick Nash in the off-season.
The forward becomes the fourth locked out Anchorage native to join the Aces this season as Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nate Thompson, Washington Capitals winger Joey Crabb, and Montreal Canadiens center Scott Gomez have reached agreements in the past week.
In 77 games with the Rangers last season, Dubinsky recorded 10 goals and 24 assists for 34 points, and 110 penalty minutes.
