Anisimov signs with local team Lokomotiv TheFourthPeriod.com
Columbus Blue Jackets center Artem Anisimov has officially signed with HC Lokomotiv of the KHL and will play with them during the NHL lockout.
Anisimov, 24, played for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl prior to making the jump to North America with the New York Rangers organization.
In 79 games with the Rangers last season, Anisimov registered 16 goals and 20 assists for 36 points, with a career-high plus-12 rating.
The Rangers traded Anisimov, along with center Brandon Dubinsky and defenseman Tim Erixon to the Blue Jackets on July 23 in exchange for left wing Rick Nash and defenseman Steven Delisle.
KHL teams are allowed to sign a maximum of three NHL players during the NHL's lockout, while a max salary has been imposed of 65 per cent of what they earn under their NHL contracts.
