Hurricanes claim Rattie off waivers

The Carolina Hurricanes have claimed right wing Ty Rattie off waivers from the St. Louis Blues.

Rattie, 23, has been limited to just four games with the Blues this season, going scoreless, and picked up one assists in three games with the AHL's Chicago Wolves.

The native of Airdrie, Alberta, has played in 30 career NHL regular-season games with the Blues, picking up four goals and four assists for eight points and six penalty minutes.

Rattie was originally drafted by the Blues in the second-round, 32nd overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
