Jokinen could still be moved

Even though Jussi Jokinen cleared waivers Wednesday, it doesn't mean he'll finish the season with the Carolina Hurricanes.

It's believed the Hurricanes will trade Jokinen before the April 3 trade deadline, but they'll likely have to eat some of his salary.

Jokinen has one-year left on his contract beyond this season that pays him $3 million.

One unnamed NHL GM told Wednesday morning that he would have likely added Jokinen if he didn't have an extra year on his deal.

There are several teams interested in Jokinen, but will only make a move if the Hurricanes pay some of his salary or, as reports, they take a player back in return.
