Hurricanes going after another defenseman TheFourthPeriod.com
According to the Raleigh News & Observer, the Hurricanes are still in the market for a defensive-minded blueliner.
Having already acquired Joni Pitkanen from the Edmonton Oilers yesterday, Hurricanes GM Jim Rutherford told the paper his team remained in negotiations with a defenseman in the $1 million price range.
The News & Observer suggests the Hurricanes may still need to make a trade in order to fit another defenseman under the salary cap.
