Sabres trade Catenacci to Rangers

The Buffalo Sabres have traded forward Daniel Catenacci to the New York Rangers in exchange for defenseman Mathew Bodie.

Bodie, 26, registered eight goals and 22 assists for 30 points and 47 penalty minutes in 45 games with the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack this season.

Catenacci, 23, picked up five goals and eight assists for 13 points and 44 penalty minutes in 50 games with the AHL's Rochester Americans this season.

He's gone without a point in 11 NHL games with the Sabres last season.

Catenacci was drafted by the Sabres in the third-round (77th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
