McGinn likely to be traded

The Buffalo Sabres are expected to trade left wing Jamie McGinn by Monday's 3pm ET trade deadline, multiple league sources have told TFP.

According to one Eastern Conference team executive, the Sabres are trying to acquire a second-round draft pick for McGinn.

McGinn, 27, is in the final year of his contract and can become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

In 62 games with the Sabres this season, McGinn has registered 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points.

In addition to McGinn, the Sabres are also taking calls on defenseman Josh Gorges and center David Legwand.
