Sabres sign Gionta, acquire Gorges

The Buffalo Sabres have acquired defenseman Josh Gorges from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for a 2016 second-round draft pick.

The Sabres have also signed unrestricted free agent right wing Brian Gionta to a three-year, $12.75 million contract.

Gionta's deal includes a full no-movement clause in the first two-years of his deal, and a limited no-trade clause in the last year.
