Konopka claimed off waivers from Wild

The Buffalo Sabres have claimed veteran forward Zenon Konopka off waivers from the Minnesota Wild.

Konopka, 33, was in his second season with the Wild after signing with them as a free agent on July 1, 2012.

In 36 games with the Wild this season, Konopka tallied one goal, one assist and 55 penalty minutes.

Konopka has played in 323 career NHL regular-season games, to date, with the Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators and Wild, and has accumulated 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points, along with 1,049 penalty minutes.
