The Sabres would like to make more upgrades to their roster this off-season, but they don't seem to be overly active at the moment, the Buffalo News reports.
According to the paper, Sabres GM Darcy Regier is looking at a few unrestricted free agents, including veteran Shane Doan.
Doan, who has interest from numerous teams, is waiting to see if the Phoenix Coyotes' ownership picture becomes a little clearer before opting to leave the team and sign with another club.
Despite the Sabres' interest, Doan is not expected to sign with Buffalo, a source told TFP.
Meanwhile, Regier continues to explore the trade route, but nothing appears to be imminent.
