The Buffalo Sabres have signed unrestricted free agent defenseman Steve Montador to a two-year contract.
The 6-foot-0, 210 pound defenseman finished the 2008-09 season with the Boston Bruins and registered four goals, 17 assists and 143 penalty minutes.
