TFP has learned that the Buffalo Sabres have traded goalie Martin Biron to the Philadelphia Flyers for a 2007 second-round draft pick.
Shortly after, the Sabres acquired goaltender Ty Conklin from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a 2007 fifth-round draft pick.
Biron, who is making $2.1 million this season, posted a 12-4-1 record with the Sabres this season, along with a 3.04 goals-against-average and a .889 save percentage.
Conklin is a five-year veteran and has a 2-3-2 record with a 3.30 goals-against average in 11 appearances with Columbus.
