Lucic signs three-year extension

The Boston Bruins have signed forward Milan Lucic to a three-year, $18 million contract extension.

In 81 games with the Bruins last season, Lucic picked up 26 goals and a career-high 35 assists for 61 total points.

The native of Vancouver, B.C., has skated in 359 games with the Bruins over the course of five seasons from 2007-12, and has accumulated 90 goals and 122 assists for 212 points, with 525 penalty minutes and a plus-43 rating.

Lucic was drafted by the Bruins in the second round (50th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
