Bruins won't trade Thomas
TheFourthPeriod.com

A report last week surrounding Tim Thomas' tenure in Boston claimed the Bruins were looking to trade him after skipping a team trip to the White House.

Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli was quick to shoot down all the trade rumors that have spun over the original published report, telling TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun that Thomas is not on the market.

"Not trading him," Chiarelli said in an e-mail to LeBrun. "I have not talked to anyone and I don't plan to."

It had been reported that the Chicago Blackhawks were interested in acquiring Thomas in exchange for forward Viktor Stalberg, though such a move is unlikely.

Thomas, an NHL All-Star, has posted a 20-9-0 record this season, with a 2.12 goals-against-average and a .933 save percentage.
