Bruins to acquire more help for second Cup run TheFourthPeriod.com
Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli could attempt to bulk up as the trade deadline fast approaches.
Although the Bruins comfortably sit in second place of the Eastern Conference with a 26-11-1 record and hold the best chances to make it all the way to the Cup finals for the second year in a row, Chiarelli would like to add depth up front and on the back end, the Ottawa Sun reports.
Last year, Chiarelli was quite active before the deadline, when he acquired blueliner Tomas Kaberle and forwards Rich Peverley and Chris Kelly.
While Chiarelli has some salary cap space to work with, it remains unsure what type of asset he is willing to let go in order to obtain the help he is looking for.
