Recchi inks 1-year deal with Bruins

The Boston Bruins have re-signed unrestricted free agent right wing Mark Recchi to a one-year, $1 million contract.

Recchi, 41, was traded to the Bruins at the trade deadline (Mar. 4, 2009) from the Tampa Bay Lightning. In 80 games with both clubs last season, he registered 23 goals and 38 assists for 61 points.

A seven-time All-Star and two-time Stanley Cup champion, Recchi has played in 1,490 career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes, Atlanta Thrashers, Lightning and Bruins, and has accumulated 545 goals and 897 assists for 1,442 points.

Recchi was originally drafted by the Penguins in the fourth-round (67th overall) of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft.
