Bruins unlikely to sign Hossa?

TheFourthPeriod.com

The Bruins are expected to pursue free agent star Marian Hossa, but the Boston Globe suggests their chances of signing him aren't very good.

Hossa is expected to receive offers of $8 million per year or more, and that might be out of the Bruins' price range.

The Globe suggests he could end up with Detroit Red Wings, while the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens are expected to pitch him an offer.

Various reports suggest the Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks will also try to sign Hossa.

Meanwhile, the Globe reports the Bruins have tabled an offer to free agent Glen Metropolit.

Metropolit is not expected to sign anything prior to testing the market. The Toronto Maple Leafs could target him.
